Singing Lessons

Laura specialises in providing a safe space for adults and young people to explore and connect with their singing voice.

I‘ve really grown in my ability and confidence in my lessons with Laura. She taught me for my grade 7 and 8 singing exams, and I got a distinction for both. Her teaching style is really logical and individualised, she can diagnose where tension is or what needs tweaking immediately. Laura always had good recommendations for songs that suit my voice, both classical and musical theatre so I got to push myself and try different styles and techniques. Her lessons are really fun, memorable and rewarding!

I am a singer with a voice problem. Can you help?

My clinical background as a specialist voice therapist working in a multidisciplinary voice clinic, combined with over 20 years’ experience as a singing teacher allows me to support singers with a history of voice problems. Together we can explore your difficulty, discuss your goals and find the best plan to help you move forwards.

I have links with a network of voice professionals, including ENTs, physiotherapists, osteopaths, Vocal Rehabilitation Coaches and highly specialist voice therapists. I receive regular clinical supervision as a Speech and Language Therapist specialising in voice, as well as mentoring from a highly experienced Singing Voice Specialist and Vocal Coach as a Vocal Process Accredited Singing Teacher. Working with the support of a team allows for a safe and supportive approach to managing voice difficulties.

Please contact me if you would like to discuss the difficulties you are experiencing, so that we can identify whether voice therapy or singing lessons might be more appropriate for you. Please find more information about voice therapy here.

What are your qualifications?

I have an undergraduate degree in music, specialising in singing (Royal College of Music); a Post Graduate Performance Diploma in Musical Theatre (Royal Academy of Music); a Post Graduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (City, University of London).
