Laura is kind. She’s really good at singing! She makes me feel confident about learning singing and when I find a song hard she encourages me and helps me. I love spending time with her and I think learning to sing has helped me to be more confident about speaking at home and school too.

Laura’s background…
Laura trained in classical singing at the Royal College of Music and in musical theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. She went on to perform as a professional singer in the West End and across the UK. Alongside her singing career, Laura has worked as a singing teacher since graduating from the Royal College in 2003.
With a growing interest in voice and a desire to work with people with voice disorders, Laura went on to study Speech and Language Therapy at City, University of London, graduating in 2017 with a Distinction. Most recently, she has combined teaching with working as a Voice Therapist at University Hospital Lewisham.
The experience of crossing numerous genres as a singer, attending hundreds of auditions, performing in a wide variety of venues from theatres to sports stadiums, has provided Laura with a unique understanding of the demands placed on today’s singers and actors. Her extraordinary background in both the arts and sciences richly influences her approach as a singing teacher and a voice therapist.
Watching my daughter’s confidence grow since starting singing lessons has been fantastic. Laura has a talent for matching songs to my daughter’s personality and voice and is great at spotting just the right time to start teaching more challenging songs. My daughter always comes bouncing out of her sessions and she thinks Laura is just one of the best people ever!
